Cantab , usually in the form (Cantab.) Is an addition that is used by graduates, rarely also students, of the University of Cambridge after the academic title (for example MA or PhD ). The abbreviation stands for the adjective Cantabrigiensis and is derived from the Latin form of the name for Cambridge , Cantabrigia .

The abbreviation was also used at times for a university student magazine. It is also used as an acronym for software developed there for performing cognitive tests. In addition, various websites relating to this alma mater have the term in their address. An old English dog breed also had the term in its name.

The use of academic additions is also common at other renowned universities in the English-speaking world.
