Dolores Hope , née Dolores DeFina (born May 27, 1909 in New York City , † September 19, 2011 in Toluca Lake , California ), was an American singer and the wife of actor Bob Hope .
Life
Dolores DeFina, born in New York City in 1909, began her professional career in the 1930s, singing under the name Dolores Reade . In 1933 she met Bob Hope (1903-2003). The couple married in Pennsylvania on February 19, 1934 and had 4 children together (2 sons and 2 daughters). She was married to him, who also reached the age of 100, for 69 years until his death.
At the age of 83, Dolores Hope released her first CD, Dolores Hope: Now and then .
Awards
Dolores Hope received several significant awards in her life including:
