Roman Grill (born March 1, 1966 ) is a player advisor and former German soccer player and coach .
Career
player
Grill started playing football in Hausham at the local SG Hausham 01 in the Upper Bavarian district of Miesbach and continued it at 1. FC Miesbach in the municipality of the same name .
From 1988 to 1999 he played for the amateur team of FC Bayern Munich. In the 1995/96 season he was a member of the professional squad and was substituted on 5 December 1995 in the second leg of the second leg of the UEFA Cup , in the 3-1 win in the away game against Benfica Lisbon , in the 87th minute for Thomas Helmer . At the end of the season, Bayern won the UEFA Cup. For the second team, he played nine DFB Cup games in the season 1993/94 to 1995/96 and scored three goals; In 1994/95 he advanced with the team to the quarter-finals , which were lost 2-1 to VfL Wolfsburg . Trainer and other functions
From 2000 to 2003 Grill was a youth coach at FC Bayern Munich; In 2001 he led the A-Juniors to the championship . From 2003 to 2006 he worked in the press department of the record champions. Since 2004 he has also been 1st chairman of the SG Hausham 01 club. In 2006 he founded the agency acta7 , which advises players such as Philipp Lahm , Owen Hargreaves , Georg Niedermeier , Steffen Hofmann and Piotr Trochowski .
In the summer of 2009 he was in discussion as the successor to Dietmar Beiersdorfer for the post of sports director at Hamburger SV , but ultimately this engagement did not materialize. In 2010, Grill was briefly a candidate for head of sport at SSV Jahn Regensburg , but there was no agreement here either.
On January 4, 2013 he succeeded Frank Schmöller , coach of the Bavarian regional league club FC Ismaning . On November 19, 2013, he was dismissed due to the downhill sport.
