Frank Schmöller (born August 21, 1966 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player and today's coach .

career

In his youth he played for TSV in Niendorf before he switched to Hamburger SV as a professional in 1985 . In Germany, Schmöller then played at SV Waldhof Mannheim . He then spent some time in Lier, Belgium, with the local SK and in Antwerp with Germinal Ekeren . Hertha BSC brought him to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1992 , where he was also active in 1994 for SC Fortuna Köln and later for SpVgg Unterhaching .

He played a total of 48 games in the Bundesliga (4 goals) and 107 games in the 2nd Bundesliga (26 goals). After initially being the youth coach at SpVgg Unterhaching and coaching SV Heimstetten from 2002 to 2008 , he was head coach of FC Ismaning in the Bayernliga since July 2009 . He became champions with the club in 2011 and qualified for the Bavarian regional league in 2012 . At the FCI, however, he was dismissed on January 4, 2013 and replaced by Roman Grill . From October 2013 Frank Schmöller worked for SV Pullach in the Bayern League. For the 2019/20 season, he moved to league rivals TSV 1860 Munich II .
