The Cap des Barres ( French ) is a cape at the northwest end of the Pétrel Island in the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland .
During the International Geophysical Year (1957–1958), the cape was the location of flux meters to determine the magnetic flux .
