Capitan is a Franco-Belgian comic .

Liliane and Fred Funcken wrote and drew the adventure series set in the days of the Musketeers. The texts of the short stories were written by Jacques Acar and Yves Duval .

Eight sequels and four short stories were created, which appeared in the Belgian and French editions of Tintin and in the Flemish version Kuifje . The title hero graced the front page several times. The number of pages in the first five album-length stories was initially 30 pages, it increased to 44 pages for the last three episodes. In addition, four short stories were published in the paperback Tintin Sélection . Lombard published the albums in the Jeune Europe and Une histoire du Journal Tintin series . Further publications came in 1980 by Bédéscope and in 1986 and 1987 by Récréabull.
