Cappuccinatore

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A cappuccinatore is a plastic attachment for the steam nozzle of fully automatic coffee machines . Similar to the pannarello , the cappuccinatore is also used to make milk foam or hot milk , which can be used to make hot drinks such as latte macchiato or cappuccino . The main difference to the Pannarello is that you don't need a separate vessel.

With the negative pressure generated by the steam nozzle, the milk is sucked in through a hose, frothed or heated in the cappuccinatore and then goes straight into the cup . Depending on the fat content and temperature of the milk, the air supply required for frothing must be regulated. This is usually done with a small plastic pen on the cappuccinatore or with a regulator that can be set permanently.

The cappuccinatore can be retrofitted in most fully automatic coffee machines, while it is already integrated in some higher quality machines (with a separate steam nozzle).
