Cara Bassa and Cardixeddu in the "Valle dei Menhir" ( German  "Valley of the Menhirs" ) near Villa Sant'Antonio in the province of Oristano are unprocessed pre-anthropomorphic menhirs on Sardinia . The approximately 1.8 m high trachyte menhirs from Villa Sant'Antonio, which have a flat and a convex side and are considered to be very old, lack anatomical details, as do the similar menhir rows by Pranu Muteddu and Sa Perda'e iddocca-Cerdeña.

In the center of Sardinia, especially in the Sarcidano , the Barigadu and the Mandrolisai, anthropomorphic statue menhirs can be found, which are characterized by a facial scheme and simple, enigmatic symbols at chest level.

A more widespread, processed form of prehistoric menhirs in Sardinia is called Baityloi (Italian Betili).
