The Carbon Point ( Spanish Punta Carbón ) is a headland at the southwest end of Candlemas Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands . It is located immediately northwest of Clapmatch Point .
The headland's name is recorded in a 1953 hydrographic publication from Argentina .
