The Cardozo Cove ( French Anse Cardozo ) is a bay on the south coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the more northerly of the two bays at the head of the Ezcurra Fjord in Admiralty Bay .
Participants in the Fifth French Antarctic Expedition (1908–1910) under the direction of polar explorer Jean-Baptiste Charcot mapped and named it in December 1909. It is probably named after João Pedro Cardoso [sic] (1871–1957), an engineer from São Paulo , the Charcots Research trip was helpful. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee transferred the original name into English on September 8, 1953.
