Carl Astner
Carl Astner , also Karl Astner ( April 28, 1862 in Vienna - after 1902 ) was an Austrian opera singer ( baritone ).
Life
Astner had been active on the stage since the beginning of the 1890s and came to Preßburg in 1891, to Regensburg in 1893, in 1894 and 1895 in Linz, in 1896 in Opava, in 1898 in Klagenfurt and in 1899 joined the Association of the Linz State Theater. He was a good hero-baritone whose achievements also enjoyed widespread recognition. His voice was sonorous and pleasant to the touch. "Lohengrin", "Tannhäuser", "Walther", "Loge" and "Siegfried" are among his most popular roles.
In 1901 he sang at the Vienna State Opera .
