Carl August Weber (singer)
Carl August Weber , also Karl August Weber , ( June 28, 1842 in Hadmersleben - 1908 in Schwerin ) was a German opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
Weber was trained for the stage career by Friedrich Rebling . He made his debut on November 2, 1860 in Magdeburg . From 1867 to 1872 he sang at the city theater in Leipzig and from there went to the court theater in Schwerin . After many years as the first tenor, the artist withdrew into private life.
His most popular performances were: “Max” in Freischütz , “David” in the Meistersinger , “Mime” and “Dickson”.
