Carl crack

Carl Crack (* 1971 in Swaziland ; † September 6, 2001 in Berlin ; actually Karl Böhm ) was a German MC . From 1992 to 2000 he was a member of the Berlin digital hardcore band Atari Teenage Riot .

Crack had a significant impact on the development of the typical Atari Teenage Riot style, especially the MCing of the band.

In 1998, under the title Black Ark, he produced his only solo album , on which strong influences of dub can be found.

Crack committed suicide on September 6, 2001 at the age of 30. A year after his death, the album The Third Armpit by the band Cobra Killer , which Crack had helped to create, was released.
