Carl Friedrich Trier

Carl Friedrich Trier (born June 12, 1690 in Dresden , † February 1, 1763 in Leipzig ) was a lawyer from the Electoral Saxony and in 1758 mayor of the city of Leipzig .

Career

Trier's father, Johann Friedrich Trier, was a royal electoral librarian as well as court and judicial councilor in Dresden. Trier studied law at the University of Halle , where he in 1722 with the investigation "De Restitutione In Integrum Contra Sponsalia Pura Minorum" Dr. iur. received his doctorate. Trier was elected to the City Council of Leipzig in 1722. After being appointed master builder (1742) and proconsul (1748), he was mayor of the city in 1758. In 1761 he resigned from the council. He was ducal Saxon-Weissenfels court councilor, royal Polish and electoral Saxon court and judicial councilor, imperial count palatine and court judge.

Carl Friedrich Trier was the founder and owner of Trier's garden in Leipzig. After his death he came to his nephew and son-in-law of the same name, the Appellationsrat Carl Friedrich Trier .
