Carl Johann III. Elbers

Carl Johann Elbers (referred to as III to distinguish himself from his father and grandfather of the same name) (born March 3, 1823 in Hagen ; † September 26, 1882 in Lippspringe ) was a German entrepreneur and politician.

Elbers was the son of the company Carl Johann II. Elbers (1795-1853). He was a partner in his parents' textile factory in Elbers . For his entrepreneurial work he was awarded the title of a commercial councilor . In 1875 and 1881 Elbers was a member of the provincial parliament of the province of Westphalia for the state of the towns in the Mark constituency for the towns of Hagen, Altena and Schwelm .
