Carl Johannes Koyemann

Carl Johannes Koyemann (born March 6, 1828 in Hamburg ; † August 30, 1903 there ) was a Hamburg merchant and member of parliament.

Koyemann completed a commercial apprenticeship with the Wilhelm Röper company in Hamburg. From January 1, 1852, he worked as a clerk at JPL Bartels & Co. In 1863, Koyemann became a partner there. In 1878 he left JPL Bartels & Co. In 1879 he founded the company Koyemann & Harms. In 1881 he became a partner in the Koyemann & Sohn company. From 1901 to 1902 he was a partner in the Paul Nirrnheim company.

From 1866 on, Koyemann was a member of the Commerzdeputation , which he headed as President in 1870 and 1871. Koyemann belonged to the Hamburg citizenship from 1865 to 1878 . He is considered a co-founder of the Left Center parliamentary group.

Carl Johannes Koyemann is commemorated on the collective grave slab merchants (II f) of the Althamburg Memorial Cemetery, Ohlsdorf Cemetery .
