Carl Kettel
Carl Friedrich Lorenz Kettel (born April 2, 1848 in Weimar , Thuringia, † April 29, 1940 there ) was a German publisher.
Life
Carl Kettel founded the " Thüringer Volksbote " in 1873 as a party newspaper of the SDAP and was its publisher. In 1868 he was a co-founder of the Weimar SDAP and one of the central figures there. In 1875 Carl Kettel founded the Thuringian newspaper association in Apolda with the aim of a cooperative printing company. In the same year he was an envoy to the Gotha party congress in Tivoli (Gotha) .
