Carl Schönfeld (politician)

Carl Schönfeld (born August 1, 1902 in Breslau , † November 18, 1951 in Salzgitter-Lebenstedt ) was a German politician (CDU).

Schönfeld was a worker by profession. In the Weimar Republic he was a member of the center . From 1925 he was union secretary and internal and external sales manager of the Christian unions in Germany . Due to the dissolution of the trade unions after the National Socialist takeover , he lost his job. From June 1933 to February 1934 he was in " protective custody ". After his dismissal, he could not find a job until 1936 because of his alleged "political unreliability" when he worked as a representative of the Braunschweigische Lebensversicherung.

In the post-war period he was the state manager of the CDU Lower Saxony . In 1946 he was appointed a member of the Braunschweigische Landtag and belonged to the first legislative period of the Lower Saxony Landtag from January 22 to April 30, 1951.
