Carl Wendt (politician)

Carl Wendt (also Karl ) (born February 2, 1887 in Rodach ; † January 1, 1936 in Cairo ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the state assembly of the Free State of Coburg .

Wendt did an apprenticeship as a plumber after graduating from elementary school in Rodach . For several years he worked as a fitter for a machine factory in Greece and Egypt . During the First World War , activities in the context of German military aid in submarine construction in Turkey followed . From 1918 to 1923 he was again a fitter based in Rodach and had been working in Cairo since 1923.

In 1918 he joined the SPD. In the state elections on February 9, 1919, he was elected to the state assembly of the Free State of Coburg. In Parliament he was deputy secretary.
