Carla Rust

Carla Rust (born September 15, 1908 in Burgdamm (now part of Bremen ), † December 27, 1977 in Bad Hindelang ) was a German actress .

Life

She made her debut in 1928 at the Stadttheater Mainz . In 1930 she got an engagement at the Schauspielhaus Nürnberg , where she worked until 1933. After an interlude in Dresden, she worked at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm in Berlin from 1935 .

In the same year, the blonde actress received her first film role. She was the partner of Luis Trenker in love letters from the Engadin and of Beniamino Gigli in You My Heart Belongs (1938). With her husband, the actor Sepp Rist , she was the focus of the 1940 film comedy Der Rettende Engel . She was used several times together with Rist, primarily in the alpine environment, but in later years only played a relatively small supporting role.

She rests in the cemetery in Bad Hindelang , next to her husband (grave already abandoned, memorial plaque on the wall).
