Schoutens, who has been on the road for the Netherlands until 2014 and for the US Association since 2014 , made his debut in the speed skating World Cup in Berlin in December 2014 and finished 22nd in the B group over 3000 m. In 2015 and 2016 she was US champion in the 5000 m and in 2017 in the small four-way battle. In November 2017 in Stavanger she achieved her best individual placement in the World Cup with 11th place over 5000 m. At the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang in 2018 , she won the bronze medal in the team pursuit. In addition, she ran there on 22nd place over 3000 m and 11th place over 5000 m.
