At the XXIII. At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , 14 speed skating competitions were held. The venue was the Gangneung Oval in the city of Gangneung . The hall opened in February 2017 had a capacity of 8,000 spectators. Mass start races were on the program for the first time.
