Karolína Erbanová (born October 27, 1992 in Vrchlabí ) is a Czech speed skater .

Career

Erbanová made his debut in the World Cup at the beginning of the 2008/09 season in Berlin . There she finished 23rd over 1500 m in Division B. In the further course of the season she won her first World Cup victory in the team pursuit in Erfurt . In February 2010 she took 25th place over 1500 m, 23rd place over 500 m and 12th place over 1000 m at her first Olympic participation in Vancouver . The following month she won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships in Moscow in the all- around , over 1000 m and over 1500 m. At the Junior World Championships 2011 in Seinäjoki she won four gold medals and at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Obihiro silver in the all- around event and over 1000 m and gold over 2x500 m and over 1500 m. In the 2012/13 season she came second at the World Cup in Harbin over 1000 m. A day later she won her second World Cup victory over 1000 m. She finished the season in third place in the 1000 m World Cup. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she came in 13th place over 1500 m and tenth place over 500 m and 1000 m. In February 2015 she won the bronze medal over 1000 m at the speed skating single distance world championships 2015 in Heerenveen. At the following World Speed ​​Skating Sprint Championships in 2015 in Astana , she also won the bronze medal. The following year she was seventh at the Sprint World Championships in Seoul and won 14th place in the 2 x 500 m run and 13th place over 1000 m at the individual distance world championships in Kolomna . In the 2016/17 season she came second over 500 m four times and once each on third over 1000 m and 1500 m and thus achieved fifth place in the World Cup over 1000 m and 1500 m.
