Yu Jing ( Chinese  于 静 , Pinyin Yú Jìng , born May 29, 1985 in Harbin , Heilongjiang ) is a Chinese speed skater .

Yu has competed in national events since the mid-2000s. Her first Chinese championship, a sprint four-way competition, she ran in 2004 and finished seventh. Two years later she won her first medal in Harbin as third place behind Li Dan and Zhao Jinxia in this competition. Yu repeated this success in 2007 and also finished second behind Xing Aihua in the 100-meter sprint. In 2008 she finished second behind her again over 100 meters and won the titles over 500 and 1000 meters. In 2008 she only had to admit defeat to Jin Peiyu at the four-tier sprint championships . Yu won the sprint fourfold at the 11th China Games in January 2009.

Internationally, Yu has been at a higher level since 2007. At the Winter Universiade 2007 she won bronze over 500 meters, in 2009 silver behind Lee Sang-hwa and gold over 100 meters. The Asian Championships in Changchun in 2007 brought bronze over 1000 and silver behind Wang Dan over 500 meters. In 2008, the Chinese won gold in the 1000 meter course and bronze over 500 meters. In speed skating World Cup Yu debuted for the 2008-09 season . She started out in Group B and won both her first 500 and 1000 meter races in Changchun. Of her first four races, she won three and came third once. Over 100 meters she immediately started in the A group and came fifth. Since then, the Chinese has been part of the A group of the World Cup. In Nagano she contested her first 1000 meter race and immediately came second behind Christine Nesbitt . She even won her first 500 meter race. In the further course of the season, Yu failed to reach a single-digit table position only once. She ran eight times on routes from 100 to 1000 meters on a podium.

At the Sprint World Championships 2009 in Moscow , Yu won the bronze medal behind Wang Beixing and Jenny Wolf .

Her most successful year so far was 2012. She won the Sprint World Championships in Calgary and at the Individual Distance World Championships in Heerenveen she won two silver medals over 500 and 1000 meters.

In 2013, Yu was successful again at the Sprint World Championships and won the silver medal in the four-way fight.
