Individual Speed Skating Asian Championships

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Speed Skating Single Distance Asian Championships ( English Asian Single Distance Championships ; 2013 and 2014 also called Asian Single Distance Competition ) are a continental competition event that has been organized annually by the International Skating Union (ISU) since 1994 . However, the event arouses comparatively little interest among the eligible nations, some of which only send their "second guard" and spare the best athletes with regard to the World Cup and the individual distance , sprint and all- around world championships .

The 2016 event was to take place in the Alau Ice Palace in the Kazakh capital of Astana . It was initially scheduled for January, was later postponed to March and was ultimately canceled.
