The Lagunitas Brewing Company was founded in 1993 in California Lagunitas founded. Today Lagunitas operates two breweries in the United States and is a subsidiary of Heineken .

history

IPA

Lagunitas Brewing Co. was founded in 1993 by Tony Magee in Lagunitas. A year later, the brewery moved to nearby Petaluma. Since then the brewery has grown steadily. In 2012 a second brewery was built in Chicago , Illinois , and in 2014 around 640,000 barrels (763,000 hl) of beer were brewed in Chicago . In Petaluma, Lagunitas reached its capacity limit of 750,000 barrels (895,000 hl) in 2014. In August 2016, a small brewery in Seattle was taken over, this is the former brewery of the Hilliards Brewery . To ensure the supply on the west coast, Lagunitas is building its fourth brewery in Azusa .

In 2016 the Southend Brewery in Charleston was taken over. The brewery is scheduled to go into operation in 2017. In October 2015, the Dutch brewing group Heineken took over a 50% stake in Lagunitas Brewing Company. On May 4, 2017, Lagunitas was completely taken over by Heineken. The small brewery in Charleston was closed in July 2017 because the building was in disrepair.

The beers IPA , Little Sumpin ' Ale , Day Time IPA, Pils , Sucks - Brown Shugga' Substitute Ale, Maximus Ale, Dogtown Pale, Censored Rich Copper Ale, Hop Stoopid Ale and Imperial Stout are available all year round .
