Jorien ter Mors (born December 21, 1989 in Enschede ) is a Dutch short tracker and speed skater .

Her first international competition in the adult area was the 2007 European Championship in Sheffield , where she immediately won bronze with the relay. But it wasn't until the 2008/09 season that ter Mors made his debut in Salt Lake City in the World Cup. At the European Championships in Turin she was able to win bronze again with the relay, she was also sixth at the team world championship in Heerenveen with her teammates and started in Vienna for the first time at a world championship , where she took 37th place in the all- around competition. A year later she repeated winning the bronze medal with the relay at the European Championships 2010 in Dresden . In the all-around competition she was ninth. Ter Mors was also able to convince at the World Championships in Sofia , she was tenth in the all- around event and reached the semi-finals over 1500 m. She took part in the Olympic Games in Vancouver . She achieved fourth place with the relay, over 500 m she was eliminated in the preliminary run and over 1000 m she was disqualified. The 2010/11 season was her most successful to date. In the World Cup, she was able to achieve a podium finish for the first time with the relay in Changchun , and she also qualified for the first time in a World Cup individual race for a semi-final. At the European Championships in Heerenveen she was European champion with the relay, at the World Championships in Sheffield she surprisingly won silver, also with the relay. At the European Championship 2012 in Mladá Boleslav ter Mors finally achieved her first international success in individual races. She finished second in the all-around event after winning over 1000 m gold and 1500 m and 3000 m silver. In addition, she defended the title win from the previous year with the relay.

In November 2009 Jorien ter Mors belonged to the Dutch relay team with Liesbeth Mau Asam , Maaike Vos , Sanne van Kerkhof and Annita van Doorn , which set a Dutch record in Marquette in 4: 13.135 minutes. However, it was only used in the semifinals. In addition, she currently holds the national record over 1500 m and 3000 m. Ter Mors has won several national championship titles since 2007.

Ter Mors started speed skating in October 2011. Over 3000 m she took part in the national World Cup elimination, but could not qualify for the World Cup team.

On January 19, 2014, she became the first Dutch short tracker to win the European all-around championship. On the same day, she also won the European title with the Dutch relay over 3000 meters. She celebrated her greatest success in speed skating at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi , when she won gold over 1500 meters and in the team pursuit.

In 2016 she became world champion over 1000 and 1500 meters in Kolomna .

At the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she won the gold medal over 1000 m and bronze in the short track relay over 3000 m. Shortly thereafter, she won the world title at the Sprint World Championships in Changchun .
