Regulations

In the finals, points are distributed as follows:

  • 1st place = 34 points
  • 2nd place = 21 points
  • 3rd place = 13 points
  • 4th place = 8 points
  • 5th place = 5 points
  • 6th place = 3 points
  • 7th place = 2 points
  • 8th place = 1 point

So the scores of two consecutive places are added to get the score for the rank that is one place above them. In the superfinal over 3000 m, only the eight best short trackers are admitted after adding up the points from the three previous races.

Most successful athletes

Both Fabio Carta and Evgenija Radanowa are the most successful athletes in all five disciplines (individual distance and all-around) for men and women.
