Katrin Mattscherodt (born October 26, 1981 in Berlin ) is a former German speed skater on the medium and long distances and Olympic champion.

Katrin Mattscherodt, who was trained by Thomas Schubert and started for the Eissportverein Berlin '08 , is a four-time third-placed, five-time runner-up and in 2008 she was the first German champion in the all-around competition. The title enabled her to participate in the all-around European Championship 2008 in Kolomna . There she took 9th place.

She made her debut in November 2003 in the Erfurt World Cup . Her best results were a fourth and a sixth place in the team competition (2005 in Baselga di Pinè and 2004 in Inzell ). Her best place in an individual race was a twelfth place over 1000 meters in December 2005 in Inzell.

At the 2007 Individual Distance World Championships in Salt Lake City , she finished 17th over 3000 meters and 15th over 5000 meters. In the following year she climbed 11th place over 3000 meters and 10th place over 5000 meters.

The all-around World Cup in Berlin in 2008 brought her 10th place. In the 2007/08 World Cup , she was able to secure 2nd place in the overall ranking for the German team with a silver medal. On the individual routes, she was able to achieve the best result of the season for her with 10th place over 3000/5000 meters.

Mattscherodt became Olympic champion in the team pursuit at the Olympic Games in Vancouver together with Daniela Anschütz-Thoms , Stephanie Beckert and Anni Friesinger-Postma .

For this sporting achievement she received the silver laurel leaf from Federal President Köhler.
