Kaija Mustonen

Kaija Marja Mustonen (born August 4, 1941 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish speed skater .

She celebrated her first major successes at the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck in 1964 , when she won silver over 1500 meters and bronze over 1000 meters.

In 1968 she crowned her career by winning the Olympic gold medal over 1500 meters in Grenoble . She also won the silver medal over 3000 meters.

Since 1968 she is the last Finnish Olympic participant to win a medal in speed skating (as of 2014)
