Chris Witty
Chris Witty (born June 23, 1975 in West Allis , Wisconsin ) is a former American speed skater and cyclist.
Speed skating
At the 1998 Winter Olympics she won the silver medal over 1000 meters and the bronze medal over 1500 meters. At the 2002 Olympic Games , she won the 1000-meter race.

Cycling
Chris Witty was also active as a cyclist. In 1996 she became the US champion in the 500-meter time trial on the track . In 2000 she started at the Summer Olympics in Sydney and finished fifth in the time trial. However , she did not succeed in qualifying for the 2004 Games in Athens .
Others
She was the flag bearer for the United States at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. She lives in the Netherlands with her Dutch partner, the speed skater Frouke Oonk .
