Irene Schouten (born June 21, 1992 in Andijk ) is a Dutch inline speed skater and speed skater .

Inline speed skating

Schouten has won several medals at the European Inline Speed ​​Skating Championships . Her greatest success so far was three gold medals at the EM 2013 in Almere .

Speed ​​skating

Since 2010, Schouten has also competed in the speed skating World Cup . There she concentrates on the mass start, which she has already won three times in World Cup races. In the Speed ​​Skating World Cup 2013/14 she came second in the overall mass start World Cup. At the all-around World Cup in Heerenveen in 2014 , she finished sixth.

Schouten won the first ever mass start competition at the 2015 World Championships in Heerenveen .
