Friedrich August Anders

Friedrich August Anders (* 1826 in Deutz ; † after 1856) was a German portrait painter .

Life

Friedrich August Anders lived in Berlin around 1846 and later presumably in Cologne. He stayed in Paris by 1851 at the latest, but at least until 1865, where he studied in the studio of Charles Gleyre , Ary Scheffer and at the École des Beaux-Arts . In 1853 he took part in the Paris Salon . There is also evidence of his copying activity in the Louvre .
