Katarzyna Bachleda-Curuś (born January 1, 1980 in Sanok as Katarzyna Wójcicka ) is a Polish, medium and long-distance specialized, all-round speed skater .

Katarzyna Bachleda-Curuś made her debut in November 1998 at the World Cup in Hamar . The 52-time Polish champion on the individual distances and in the all-around event achieved eighth place over the 1000-meter distance at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin . She was tenth over 3000 meters, eleventh over 1500 meters and 16th over 5000 meters. In 2002 she took part in her first games in Salt Lake City and was 26th in both 1300 and 300 meters. She celebrated her greatest Olympic success at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver when she won the bronze medal in the team pursuit behind Germany and Japan. In the race for the bronze medal, the Polish team had defeated the USA.

She has competed four times at all-round world championships in small four-way combat, in 2005 she was 14th in Moscow and 2006 in Calgary , 18th in Berlin in 2008 and 16th in Hamar in 2009. She took part in seven single-distance world championships from 2000 to 2009. Trzebunia's best results were fifth over 1500 meters in 2009 in Richmond and eighth the year before in Nagano over the same distance. From 1999 to 2010 she also took part in the all-around European championships eleven times and with eighth place in 2008 in Kolomna and 2009 in Moscow her best results. In the World Cup she mostly started in the B group, but she also achieved some respectable successes among the top 10 in the A group. She was fourth in the 1500 meters in Moscow in 2006 and fifth in Heerenveen and Calgary in 2009 . In the overall World Cup, a tenth place in the 2006/07 season over 1500 meters was the best result.

At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , she was able to win a bronze medal in the team pursuit together with Luiza Złotkowska and Katarzyna Woźniak . On March 23, 2010 she was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta (Knight) by the Polish President Lech Kaczyński . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , she won a silver medal in the team pursuit together with Luiza Złotkowska, Natalia Czerwonka and Katarzyna Woźniak.
