Four speed skating competitions were planned for the II. Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1928 . Due to the bad weather, however, the competition over 10,000 m had to be canceled. The venue was the Badrutts Park ice rink .

10,000 m
The run over 10,000 meters could not be ended properly due to bad weather conditions. The high temperatures caused by the onset of a foehn and heavy rainfall caused the ice to melt. The competition had to be canceled after the fifth pairing.
