Olympic Winter Games 1928 / Skijoring
At the II. Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1928 , skijoring was held as a demonstration competition. In the horse race held by the St. Moritz Racing Club, skiers were pulled by galloping racehorses. The sport is very accident prone, so the athletes had to provide evidence of accident insurance at the start. Participants and horses were strictly controlled.
