Roald Morel Larsen (born February 1, 1898 in Kristiania (today's Oslo ), † July 28, 1959 there ) was a Norwegian speed skater .

His most successful year was 1924, when he became all- around world champion , all- around European champion and Norwegian all- around champion. In addition, he won two silver and three bronze medals at the 1924 Winter Olympics in Chamonix . His record was only clouded by the fact that he was classified there in all disciplines behind the Finn Clas Thunberg .

In the following years he won several other medals, including another bronze medal at the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz . He then occasionally took part in competitions, but after 1928 he no longer celebrated any major successes.

After retiring from speed skating, he followed in his father's footsteps and became a glazier . In 1937 he founded Roald Larsen AS in Oslo. This still exists.
