Karl Åke Seyffarth (born December 15, 1919 in Stockholm , † January 1, 1998 in Mora , Dalarna County ) was a Swedish speed skater .

Career

At the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1948 , he was Olympic champion over 10,000 m and won the silver medal over 1,500 m. He finished 7th over 5,000 m.

A year earlier, Seyffarth, who trained in Switzerland during the Second World War and had set two world records there, won the first all-around European championship after the Second World War.
