Nikolai Wassiljewitsch Strunnikow ( Russian: Николай Васильевич Струнников ; born  December 16, 1886 in Sknjatino ; † January 12, 1940 in Moscow ) was a Russian speed skater .

Strunnikow, who was also national champion in cycling, became world champion in all-around in Helsinki in 1910 . He beat the Norwegian speed skating legend Oscar Mathisen . In 1911 he defended his title. In both years he was also European champion in the all-around competition. In preparation for the EM 1911 he broke Jaap Eden's world record over 5000 meters, which had existed for 17 years. Although much was expected of him, Strunnikow ended his speed skating career in 1912 after a dispute with his association.
