Coenradus Cornelis Josephus "Coen" de Koning (born March 30, 1879 in Edam , † July 29, 1954 in Breda ) was a Dutch speed skater .
De Koning became world champion in 1905 in Groningen , when he only participated in all- around world championships. He won over 1500 meters, 5000 meters and 10000 meters. He also took part in the European Championships in 1904 and 1906 in Davos . There he took second or third place. However, no medals were awarded for these placements at the time.
De Koning won the Elfstedentocht , the most important long-distance natural ice race in speed skating , in 1912 and 1917 .
