Boris Arsenjewitsch Schilkow ( Russian Борис Арсеньевич Шилков , scientific transliteration Boris Arsen'evič Šilkov ; born June 28, 1927 in Arkhangelsk ; † June 27, 2015 in Saint Petersburg ) was a Soviet speed skater .

In 1954 Schilkow was both world and European champions in the all- around competition. In the following year he set a world record over 5000 meters by breaking the previous best time by 18 seconds. This made him the first speed skater to run this distance in under 8 minutes. At the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , he was Olympic champion over 5000 meters.

Despite his impressive performance on the 5000 meter distance, Schilkow had weaknesses on the 10,000 meters, which cost him titles, such as the World Championships in 1953, 1955 and 1957, where he was in the lead after three distances.
