Carlita Island

Carlita Island is a small island in the Cumberland West Bay of South Georgia . It is located immediately south of Islet Point before the entrance to Carlita Bay .

The island is named after the naming of the neighboring bay of the same name. It is named after the whaling ship Carlita , built in 1907 by the fishing company Compañía Argentina de Pesca, founded by the Norwegian entrepreneur Carl Anton Larsen .
