Carlo Cotti (director)

Carlo Cotti (born May 24, 1939 in Milan ) is an Italian director.

Life

Cotti worked for the film in the 1960s; first as an actor, then as a production secretary, from 1967 also as an assistant director . From 1972 he worked with Giovanni Testori and devoted himself to documentary film . He then shifted his focus of work to the stage (where he made his debut in 1974 at “Gerolamo di Milano”) and to commercials .

In 1985 he made his cinema debut with Sposerò Simon Le Bon , shot for television two years later and in 1989 he presented his second and last feature film, Bille en tête .

Cotti, who lived in France from 1987 to 1995, then returned to theatrical productions and worked for the first time in music theater, later he also made television films again. From 2002 he taught at the University of Catania .
