Carlo Simonelli
Carlo Simonelli (born September 22, 1938 in Chur ) is a country musician from the Swiss canton of Graubünden . In 1955, during his electrician apprenticeship, he rented an accordion and taught himself to make music. With his brother Sepp and the clarinetist Arno Caflisch he formed the Ländlerkapelle Gebrüder Simonelli , which was an important source of income for the family. In 1957 Carlo was able to buy his own instrument, and the two brothers led a country band Seestern . After numerous musical stations, the Engadiner LÄNDERFRUNDA was founded in Celerina in 1969 and still performs today under the direction of Simonelli. His best-known own composition is a Scottish with the title Im Felsaschuss .
