Carlo Vittorio Varetti or Varetto (* 1884 in Turin ; † October 19, 1963 there ) was an Italian football player and official .

life and career

Carlo Vittorio Varetti was one of the group of 13 students from the Turin Massimo-d'Azeglio high school who founded the Juventus football club on November 1, 1897 . The half-forward took part in the Italian football championship for the club between 1900 and 1907 and completed 23 games in which he scored two goals. In 1905 Varetti won the club's first championship title with Juve .

In 1907, Carlo Vittorio Varetti succeeded the Swiss Alfredo Dick , who had left the club and helped found the Foot Ball Club Torino , as President of Juventus Turin. Varetti held this office until 1910.
