Carlo de Gavardo
Carlo Alberto de Gavardo Prohen (born July 14, 1969 in Santiago de Chile , † July 4, 2015 in Buin , Chile ) was a Chilean motorcycle racer who specialized in rally raids . He was under contract with KTM for seven years .
career
Since 1996 he has participated in twelve Dakar rallies and was on the podium once. He won individual stages six times. He later took part in rally raid competitions that are driven by cars.
A few days before his 46th birthday, he died on July 4, 2015 as a result of cardiac arrest, which he suffered while cycling.
