Carlos Alcantara

Carlos Saúl Alcántara (born August 21, 1948 ) is a former Uruguayan road cyclist .

In 1977 Alcántara decided the overall ranking of the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay in his favor. In 1973, 1978 and 1980 he was the overall winner of the road stage cycle race Rutas de América in its 2nd, 7th and 9th edition. He started in 1973 and 1978 for the cycling team Club Atlético Policial and in his last overall success for the Club Ciclista Amanecer . At the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal , he was part of the Uruguayan team.
