Carlos Anaya y López

Carlos Anaya y López (* 1777 in San Pedro , Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata ; † 1862 in Montevideo , Uruguay ) was a Uruguayan politician of Argentine origin.

Anaya exercised in the 1st to the 3rd legislative period from March 5, 1833 to June 15, 1833, from February 15, 1834 to July 14, 1836 and from February 13, 1837 to June 15, 1838 a mandate in the Cámara de Senadores for the Department of Soriano . After Anaya was first vice president of the Senate in 1833, he then held the chairmanship of the Senate in 1834, 1835, 1837 and 1838.

Anaya served in his role as Senate President from October 24, 1834 to March 1, 1835 as interim president of Uruguay. His successor in office was Manuel Oribe .
