The Carlside Tarn is a lake in the Lake District , Cumbria , England .
The Carlside Tarn is north of the Carl Side and south of the Skiddaw . It is the only lake that is in the mountains around the Skiddaw. Its location, unprotected from the wind, means that it occasionally dries out completely.
The lake has no discernible inflow and no discernible outflow.
