Carmelita Caetano Moniz (born March 12, 1969 in Lalawa , Cova Lima , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor . She is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party. In the party is a member of the legal commission.

Moniz has a degree in law. She has been a member of the East Timorese national parliament since 2007 . Moniz has since been a member of the Parliament's Legal Commission (Commission for Constitutional Affairs, Justice, Public Administration, Local Jurisprudence and the Fight against Corruption - Commission A). Moniz has been the chairwoman of Commission A.

After the dissolution of parliament in 2018, Moniz took up position 14 in the new elections on May 12th of the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso (AMP), to which the CNRT also belongs, and moved back into parliament. She is again a member of the Commission for Constitutional Affairs and Justice (Commission A).
